Little change Samsung Galaxy S23
Spot the differences: little change expected for Samsung Galaxy S23 series
Are you curious about the new Samsung Galaxy S devices and their design? A whole set of renders of the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and the S23 Ultra have recently appeared. Interestingly, the design is very similar to the current S22 line. Read on soon to see what did change!
Released renders
To get right to the point, we do see a redesigned back of the S23 devices, but other than that, there are few changes to be seen. For example, the rise in the corner where the cameras sit is gone, what Samsung calls the "Contour Cut Camera Style." It gave the S series its distinctive look, but also came with extra weight as a result. This was only not done with the S22 Ultra. By now placing the individual sensors separately on the back, the S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra look even more similar and the difference is hard to tell. According to sources, Samsung has made mostly minor changes that are reflected in the size. The upcoming Ultra has dimensions of 163.4 by 78.1 by 8.8 millimeters while the S22 Ultra measures 163.3 by 77.9 by 8.9 millimeters. The metal bezel around the lenses is also said to be slightly larger, as is the curvature of the screen edges on the side. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the device with the company's thinnest screen bezels ever. The selfie camera is hidden in a hole in the display.
Specifications
It can be seen that the same screen is going to be used as in the current model. Thus, an AMOLED display of 6.8" inches with a high resolution of 3080 by 1140 pixels with a refresh rate of 120Hz has been chosen again for the S23 Ultra. However, this is a better screen with improved colors, less reflection and higher peak brightness. In terms of processor, it remains to be seen what will happen. Will there be a version with the Exynos chip or Qualcomm's still unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor? Of course, the S Pen is also back for the Ultra, which you can keep inside the device. In terms of cameras, major updates are expected and for the Ultra even a sensor of up to 200 megapixels.
Unveiling in early 2023
It is as yet unclear when the Galaxy S23 devices will see the light of day. In any case, the S22 was announced in February 2022, so we can assume the same is true for 2023. In any case, we can't wait and will keep you posted as soon as more is known! For now, at least take a look at our current offerings in Samsung (Galaxy) devices.
