The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is likely to come with a new hinge design and larger screen

According to popular and often reliable source IceUniverse, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a "teardrop-shaped notch" similar to the unreleased Oppo Find N2 Flip. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will additionally get larger battery

According to IceUniverse, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will get a larger external display with a larger battery. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 had a 3700mAh battery, which was an increase of 300mAh over the battery of its predecessor. Although little is known about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, we do think more will be revealed in the upcoming months, as the device is likely to go on sale in August 2023. 

Rumors about the specifications

There have also been quite a few rumors circulating for a while about what specifications the Z Flip 5 will get. For example, the folding device is said to get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which we are personally very curious about. In addition, Samsung would like to sell a total of 10 million foldables in the second half of 2023, which would include 2 million Galaxy Z Fold devices and 8 million of the smaller and more affordable Z Flip 5.
