Affordable new device from Samsung announced: the Samsung A14 5G
Great news for all Samsung fans with a slightly smaller budget, as the race for best budget phones in 2023 has started early! For instance, Samsung has just surprisingly discreetly announced its new Galaxy A14 5G device. The device will be released in a few months at a soft price with nice features.
Nice device with a nice price
To get right to the point: the retail price of the A14 5G is (only) €209! Certainly not bad compared to the Galaxy A13 that came on the market a year ago for €249 at the time. The A13 has a 6.5" inch and the new A14 a nice big screen of 6.6" inch with a nicer and sharper image as well. Thus, the A14 gets a Full HD+ screen with a pixel count of 2400 x 1080. It is assumed that the refresh rate will be 90Hz, it is not likely to be downgraded to 60Hz.
Other specifications
Another nice improvement over the Samsung A13 5G is that the A14 5G gets a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. The 5000mAh battery and 6GB of RAM combined with 128GB of internal storage are still the same as with the A13. In addition, the A14 comes with pre-installed Android 13 software and the company says it will provide two OS upgrades and four years of security updates with its A14 5G, the announcement shows.
Availability
Samsung says the Galaxy A14 5G will be available from mid-March (at least in Belgium). When exactly the device will come out in the Netherlands is not yet clear, but we expect (hopefully) around the same time as in Belgium. So we have to be patient for a few more months! It will come in Black, Silver, Light Green and Dark Red.
