New control panel for iPhone in iOS 17

First new design since iOS 11
The above tidbit previously had internal information from Apple and also leaked the plans of the pill-shaped 'Dynamic Island' at the top of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max's screen. The control panel, also known as Control Centre, features buttons that allow you to quickly turn on or off bluetooth, WiFi, the torch and other functions of your iPhone. The control panel was also updated with iOS 11 six years ago, but has looked pretty much the same since then with minor tweaks here and there. Furthermore, according to insiders, the iOS 17 update would be quite small which should mainly improve overall performance. It will probably also become possible to install apps outside the App Store on iPhones with iOS 17, due to new European legislation. In any case, Apple itself is vehemently against this new European legal requirement.

iOS 17 in June 2023
It seems likely that Apple will unveil iOS 17 in June during its annual developer conference WWDC. There will then probably be an immediate test version for app makers, which can be improved until the phone update can be released for everyone around September. Apple may also show off its new smart glasses with 'mixed reality' (VR and AR) at WWDC. It looks like it will be a big event.

Also big makeover Apple Watch software
Apple is also said to be planning a major makeover of the Apple Watch's interface. This would be the first major change for Apple's smartwatch, after its software has looked pretty much the same for years. This news comes from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman. Usually, the Apple Watch gets annual software updates, but these are only minor changes or additional added features. So now it looks like, for the first time in years, it will be a major redesign that may make the Apple Watch feel a lot newer and more modern. In any case, we are curious to see if Apple will announce this at WWDC. In any case, it promises to be a spectacular event with lots of cool announcements from Apple!
