Samsung Galaxy S23 most likely to arrive on February 1, 2023

Good news for all Samsung fans; the Galaxy S23 series will in fact be officially announced on Wednesday 1 February 2023! This will happen during the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for that date. In all likelihood, the Galaxy S23 Ultra as well as the two more affordable Galaxy S23 Plus and the compact Galaxy S23 are going to be announced at this event. Read more about this interesting news soon!

Available fairly soon after announcement
As the past has taught us, with Samsung it is the case that about two weeks after the announcement, the device can also be ordered. This would mean that if the Samsung Galaxy S23 series is announced on 1 February, it will be deliverable from 10 or 17 February. This is because those two days fall on a Friday, when most companies usually schedule the release of their flagship phones. However, this news comes from highly reliable leaker Universe Ice, but so this information is not yet official. And since it is still a few months away, Samsung could certainly still adjust the date in the meantime.

(Hopefully) new chipset for the Samsung Galaxy S23
The new S23 series will make the switch to a new chipset, namely Qualcomm's Snapdragon and not the Exynos-powered versions of the previous devices. Samsung already used the Snapdragon chip in the US before, however, the rest of the world still got devices with the less powerful and less energy-efficient Exynos chip. However, after protests in India, among others, Samsung was actually sort of forced to switch to the Snapdragon chip in that market, although in Europe we still got the devices with Exynos. So this will now change, we are very curious to see when Samsung will officially confirm this.

Other changes
Of the new three S23 devices, the Ultra has the most exciting things going for it. It keeps the familiar Galaxy S22 Ultra design but refines it with a flatter bezel. A hefty camera upgrade is also expected, including a new 200-megapixel main camera. A new OLED screen with even better colours and a more refined S Pen should also be found in the S23 Ultra. The other two models, the S23 Plus and S23, will adopt the camera style of the Ultra. All three models are going to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip if all goes well, which is good news for the speed of all the devices. The S23 Plus will be the better choice for people who want a nice big screen with longer battery life, while the S23 prioritises one-handed operation and convenience.

Can't wait for the new S23 either?
