Samsung launches the Galaxy A24
Samsung has announced the new Galaxy A24. The South Korean company has released the Galaxy A24 without a press release in at least one region. Find out where and when we can expect the A24 in other regions here!
Launch in Vietnam
The Galaxy A24 will be introduced first in Vietnam despite previous rumours that the device would be presented first in the Middle East. According to Samsung's website, the Galaxy A24 will go on sale in four cool colours: silver, black, lime and burgundy. All predecessors of the A24 were also available in the Netherlands, so it is likely that the Samsung A24 will be too in the (near) future.
Specifications A24
The Galaxy A24 comes with a rather large 6.5-inch screen with super AMOLED and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The device is equipped with a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 processor (nice mouthful) and comes with 6/8 RAM and 128GB of internal memory. By the way, you can expand this to 1TB via an external microSD. The cameras are nice too, as the main camera has 50 megapixels and there is also a 5-megapixel ultrawide camera plus a 2-megapixel macro sensor camera. The battery is also nice and spacious at 5000mAh, which means you can definitely use the device for an entire day without having to charge in between. By the way, you can charge the Galaxy A24 with 25W. It also has a fingerprint sensor, a 13 megapixel selfie camera, NFC (Near Field Communication) and can hold two SIM cards. Handy for keeping work and private life separate.
Availability
The device is also expected to hit the market in Europe soon. In addition, it also looks like there will be a later successor, a Galaxy A24 5G device. It is still unknown what price the device will be priced at, but expectations are around 200 euros. It has also not yet been revealed which version of Android the Galaxy A24 will run on at launch. Earlier rumours indicated that it would be an Android 12 device that will probably get an update to Android 13 later in the year. We will see and look forward to welcoming the device in the Netherlands too!
