Specifications of Samsung Galaxy A24 have surfaced

The information about this new device from Samsung comes from YouTube channel The Pixel, which has posted the likely specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A24. How reliable the source is we are not entirely sure but we are very curious to see if they will be right. A little skeptical we certainly are, since the specifications don't look very rosy. If The Pixel is to be believed, the A24 would not be much of an advance on its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy A23. The A24 would feature an Exynos 7904 processor, a chip that is already four years old. For example, this processor is also in the Galaxy A40, a 2019 device. Samsung would further add 6GB of working memory and 64GB of storage, according to The Pixel. The battery would have a 4000mAh battery, which would basically allow you to use the device for a full day without having to charge in between. Another step down would be the charging; that would be at 15 watts instead of the usual 25 watts.
Still some minor improvements
Despite the somewhat negative potential developments mentioned above, there are of course some improvements that Samsung would like to apply to the Galaxy A24. For example, it is reported that the device will have a better 16-megapixel selfie camera and will also feature a better display than its predecessor. Namely, the display will have an AMOLED panel (instead of LCD) with a refresh rate of 90Hz instead of 60. As a result, images and animations move in a very smooth manner. Additionally, the device is said to get a 48-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, allowing photos to be very sharp even when you are shaking or when lighting conditions are not perfect. Aside from the main camera, there would also be an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens and 5 megapixel macro camera.
As mentioned, it is somewhat unclear to what extent these leaked specifications are true. Of course, you never know when a source leaks something, but we also don't know exactly how reliable The Pixel is. Time will tell!
