New Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Pro gets a swivel bezel and two sizes
In terms of design, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Pro will regain a physical rotating bezel and presumably come in two sizes. Thus, Samsung is falling back on older designs, going back to 'back to basics'. Read more about these new rumours here!
Distinctive design
According to known sources, Samsung is going to bring back the swivel bezel for the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 Pro. This rotating bezel will then allow you to quickly select the time for a timer or stopwatch or adjust the volume, for example. The last time Samsung produced a smartwatch with a swivel bezel was the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro do not feature a rotatable bezel and instead use a digital bezel. You use the outer edge of the round watch case with these smartwatches. The regular Galaxy Watch 6 will not have a rotatable physical bezel, according to sources.
Rounded display
It was also announced earlier that Samsung will opt for a rounded display for the Watch 6. It remains to be seen whether this will also apply to the Pro variant. There are also going to be two sizes according to sources, but which ones they are is currently unknown. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is available in a single size: 45 millimetres. The standard Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 is available in two sizes: 40 and 44 millimetres. We are very curious if these will again be the sizes for the Watch 6 and the Watch 6 Pro.
Official announcement in a few months
Samsung's previous smartwatches, the Watch 5 models, were unveiled last year in August. Samsung is expected to stick with this and thus announce the Watch 6 models in August 2023. So we have to be patient for a few more months before that happens and then also see if all these rumours are true. Time will tell!
